There will come a time when we will breathe our last.
It’s still a mystery to me as to why, at the mention of death, those around me would shake their heads disapprovingly. We’re humans, are we not? Our lifespan isn’t infinite.
Many have already died and while such memories aren’t pleasant to the mind, it’s a natural fact we must accept. As humans, we tend to take for granted every moment graciously gifted to us. We fool ourselves with happy thoughts of dying old, oblivious to the fact that our lives are constantly threatened with details of everyday we choose to ignore.
We strive to be remembered by minds that will eventually disappear.
No matter how much I think about it, everything just doesn’t make any sense. Strive as we may to not be forgotten, there will come a time when not a single trace of humanity will remain. Why does mankind exist? For what purpose do we breathe? Is everything in vain?
While such thoughts are often frowned upon, I choose to believe it is an advantage to have. We aren’t going to live forever, might as well make the most out of every moment.
